Our Mission
The Masechaba Foundation of Hope is a registered South African Non-Profit Organisation (NPO 333-956) and Section 18A Public Benefit Organisation (PBO). We operate out of Weltevredenpark, Roodepoort (Gauteng), driving a dual-pillar development model designed to restore human dignity and break the cycle of generational poverty. Our mission balances immediate humanitarian relief with long-term socio-economic independence. 1. The Nutritional Pillar: Immediate Relief We believe you cannot teach a hungry mind. To address acute food insecurity, our foundation runs a consistent community feeding scheme twice a week (Wednesdays and Sundays) The Operation: Volunteers cook and package hot, nutritionally balanced meals. The Delivery: We distribute these meals directly to vulnerable families, child-headed households and homeless individuals at local intersections and community hubs across Roodepoort. The Impact: It serves as a vital nutritional safety net and our primary trust-building point within the community. The Digital Link Pillar: Sustainable Empowerment To move individuals out of systemic dependency, we established the Masechaba Digital Link Hub. This program targets high youth unemployment by equipping marginalized matriculants with high-demand, job-ready ICT skills. Cisco Networking Academy: We are an officially accredited Cisco Academy. The Training: We deliver specialized, short-cycle training like the Cisco IT course. Students learn hardware, operating systems, networking, and remote helpdesk troubleshooting. The Delivery: The curriculum is cloud-based and online, utilizing advanced simulation tools like Cisco Packet Tracer to bypass expensive physical infrastructure limitations. The Goal: To transition youth from lines at local traffic intersections directly into entry-level tech roles, service desk analyst positions, and remote support careers.
