Campaign Story
At the Masechaba Foundation of Hope, our core guiding principle is simple: Hope in Action. We do not believe in standing on the sidelines of South Africa’s socio-economic challenges. Instead, we run two entirely separate, highly targeted lifelines designed to tackle immediate hardship on the ground while building long-term independence for the future. Pillar 1: Local Community Nutrition Relief (Roodepoort)You cannot build a thriving society on empty stomachs. Locally, our foundation manages a vital, consistent community feeding scheme twice a week (Wednesdays and Sundays). Our dedicated volunteers cook and distribute hot, nutritionally balanced meals directly to vulnerable families, child-headed households, and homeless individuals at local intersections and community hubs across Roodepoort. This program serves as our immediate humanitarian safety net, bringing dignity and critical nutrition straight to our local neighbors where it is needed most. Pillar 2: Tech Skills Development (Countrywide)Simultaneously, we are tackling South Africa’s catastrophic youth unemployment crisis by launching futures. Through the Masechaba Digital Link Hub, we operate an officially accredited, cloud-based Cisco Networking Academy. Because this technical training is delivered 100% online, we are expanding our reach nationwide—equipping marginalized, unemployed matriculants right across South Africa with high-demand, job-ready ICT skills like the Cisco IT Support Essentials course. To scale this national drive, we need to fund critical student infrastructure, data connectivity, and study hardware so these young adults can study remote-ready tech support, desktop support, and service desk roles. How Your Donation Puts Hope in Action Today: R150: Funds bulk cooking ingredients to serve hot, nutritious meals to our immediate local community. R500: Covers high-speed internet data packages for a remote student's monthly online Cisco labs. R2,000: Completely sponsors a student’s full 3-month accredited Cisco IT Support tuition fees. R5,500: Funds the ultimate National Success Package (Tuition fees + Monthly study data + a refurbished study laptop). The Masechaba Foundation of Hope is a verified, registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO 333-956) and a Section 18A Public Benefit Organisation (PBO). Every single rand processed through this Givio campaign is digitally tracked, audited, and strictly accounted for. All donations are eligible for a tax-deductible certificate.
