The Vaal SmartMoves Chess Initiative is a registered non-profit organisation serving children and young people across Meyerton, Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark, Sebokeng, and Sharpeville. We use chess as an educational tool to develop concentration, problem-solving, discipline, leadership, and self-confidence. Many schools and community centres in our region have enthusiastic learners but lack basic chess equipment and structured coaching. Without chess sets, clocks, and learning materials, talented young people miss opportunities to develop their potential.
