Our Mission
Umnyakazo Wethu is a NPO registered with Department of Social Development on 31 August 2016 NPO registration no 176-037, which established on principles of sustainable people’s livelihoods and to assist community members to read with understanding, we work in rural/underfunded areas. Children and families walk miles to reach the nearest permanent library in Ethembeni Area which is 15km from town. A converted van outfitted with shelves, solar power, and tablets with wifi—a mobile library that brings books directly to the neighborhoods. This mobile library will help Noxolo and her friends do their school research without thinking about transportation costs but closer to their homes and save their time.
