Our Mission
Operation Hunger is one of South Africa’s longest serving humanitarian and development organisations. Since 1980, we have partnered with vulnerable communities to combat hunger and malnutrition through practical, sustainable and community driven interventions. Our work is based on the understanding that hunger is not merely the absence of food. Food insecurity and malnutrition are closely linked to poverty, unemployment, limited resources and social vulnerability. Operation Hunger provides immediate support while helping communities build resilience and self-reliance through sustainable development initiatives.
