Squ Foundation NPC
Our Mission
SǪU Foundation NPC is a fully registered organization led entirely by women, operating as a Non-Profit Company (NPC), and Public Benefit Organization (PBO). Based in Protea Glen Ext 2, Soweto, we focus on empowering children and youth from underprivileged communities in townships and informal settlements. Through our Arts & Culture and Heritage Projects, we encourage them to express themselves and utilize movement, dance, and music to address critical issues affecting women and children, such as poverty, sexual violence, domestic violence, gender-based violence, child abuse, and other social challenges within the communities. We promote a culture of expression through the arts, culture, and heritage by educating communities and engaging them as audiences. Our goal is to support initiatives that address various social issues affecting these communities, helping them learn to navigate these challenges and empowering them to become better members of society. We partner with charities in our drives to ensure holistic intervention in communities. By collaborating with donors and funders, we aim to empower these communities and promote dignity in the spirit of Ubuntu.
