Our Mission
The Directors of System of Support NPC grew up in poverty and personally understand the devastating effects of poverty, crime, gangsterism and lack of opportunity. They know first-hand how the absence of support structures and resources can negatively impact individuals, families and communities. This lived experience drives the organisation’s passion and determination to succeed. The Directors have committed themselves to doing everything within their power to help as many people as possible, especially youth from disadvantaged communities. They firmly believe that with proper support, guidance and opportunities, lives can be transformed for the better. The organisation also believes that when learners are employed, studying, participating in sports and engaging in constructive extracurricular activities, they are significantly less likely to become involved in crime, gangsterism, substance abuse and other destructive social behaviours. System of Support NPC therefore aims not only to educate, but also to restore hope, dignity, opportunity and purpose within communities. Research and public education reports indicate that many learners do not successfully complete Grade 12, often due to poverty, violence, family instability, gangsterism, teenage pregnancy, substance abuse and lack of support structures. Many learners and families in disadvantaged communities do not have access to adequate support systems, information, mentorship or opportunities. This often results in poor educational outcomes, unemployment, social instability and vulnerability to criminal activity. System of Support NPC exists to provide practical interventions and support systems that create opportunities and positive alternatives for vulnerable youth and communities through education, mentorship, career development, skills training, psychosocial support and community empowerment initiatives.
